## Description
The Trade Development Manager develops, implements, and monitors all promotional spending activities for account sales. This position manages all account volume and spending allocations and reconciliations. This position leads the annual budgeting process with sales finance and aligns on trade rates associated with business plan delivery. The Trade Development Manager is responsible for monitoring and tracking performance relative to established rates throughout the year.
* Manages the sales trade budget including allocations, as aligned with Sales Directors.
* Effectively facilitates full promotion plan annual management process including budgeting for variable trade, slotting, shopper marketing, and field marketing funds.
* Manages a team of three professionals tasked with monitoring trade offers, pricing discrepancies, and general oversight of the Trade Promotion Management Tool
* Works closely with the accounts receivable to provide a sales perspective on offer accuracy and accrual management.
* Maintains and manages annual trade rates throughout the year with input from the Customer investment and Trade Optimization team; calls out and accurately manages risk and upside to financial accruals.
* Partners with finance to ensure offers are accurate, tracked, and correspond to established annual sales plan rates and spending goals.
* Oversee that all plans are accurately input into the Trade Promotion Management system; partners with IT to continuously improve the TPM system to correspond with changing sales business needs.
* Accountable for improvement in sales offer tracking, accrual accuracy, pricing discrepancies, and deduction age.
## Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Business or related field required (ex. Finance), MBA preferred.
* 5 years minimum experience in sales with a major CPG company; category management experience a plus, key account management experience a plus.
