## Description
Provides support to assigned channel sales team (Grocery, Food Service, or Alternative Channels) through analysis of account-level data to build business understanding and identify growth opportunities. Responsible for supporting Business Development Managers with tools, analytics, and communications development to customers. This role will assist the Sr. Manager of Sales Planning and Analytics in evaluating consumption and shipment trends to best determine current market trends and future business impacts.
* Analyzes account data to identify growth opportunities and risks through analysis and insights. Identifies gaps and opportunities within assigned channel and/or customers, and provides accurate and actionable insights to sales for opportunity planning.
* Provide monthly review support. Populates data and business drivers and provides support during presentations. Assists with report review development and presents unbiased views of marketplace trends to sales.
* Assist in the Sales Forecasting process utilizing internal tools and data.
* Analyzes syndicated data to provide Area Sales Directors with a monthly business perspective on share gains and losses and drivers of change.
* Responsible for the annual planning process; responsibilities include assisting BDMs on consumption trends, forecast trends, and overall planning model assumptions.
* Expert in tools used for Annual planning including impact of changes in business driver assumptions on annual plan and trade spending.
* Expected to be strongly connected with the supported Regional Sales team by participating in National & Regional Sales Meetings, Region market visits, (potentially) customer calls, cross functional initiative teams, etc.
* Primary level of interaction is BDM and Area Director level.
## Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Consumer Insights, Finance, Accounting or related field required. MBA a bonus.
Experience in the sales, marketing or finance sector within a manufacturer, retailer or supplier organization required. Experience with Nielsen/IRI, customer supplied, and/or internal data sources is required. Power user of Excel preferred. Other tool experience - ex Tableau (analytics & reporting), Demantra (sales and trade planning), SAP or similar are nice to haves, but not required.
